This is my first gaiwan and is perfect, best than I was hoping. Is really thin, is translucent if you put a light behind. It's light, but feels resistant. It fits perfectly on the saucer where the balance is good. The saucer is heavier giving it a safe point of balance. The pouring is perfectly fine and even on a small cup your tea won't be spilled.

Incredibly, this gaiwan looks even more stunning in person. It's noticeably whiter than other porcelain I own, making it particularly eye catching in a way that the already alluring photos alone can't quite convey. And the brown rim adds a nice subtle contrast to the overall radiant aesthetic.

It also has a nice tactile feel to it. The gaiwan itself is lightweight with elegant thin walls, but still has enough of a flare that you won't burn your fingers. The saucer is heavier making for a nice sturdy base to sit upon.

Overall it's simply a pleasure to have!
