Tianbai 甜白 translated as Sweet White, is a rich white porcelain glaze created during the Ming Dynasty YongLe Period (AD1403 – 1424).

This fair cup (gongdaobei) is handmade of fine white porcelain with tianbai glaze by our studio in Jingdezhen China. The porcelain is fine with good translucence and the jade-like quality that is typical of Tianbai Jingdezhen Porcelain.

I am so glad I got this fair cup.

I am so glad I got this fair cup. It is beautifully translucent, and feels so light yet strong in one's hand. I love the contrast of pairing its modern minimalistic design alongside the traditional shapes of yixing teapots.

The size is beautifully proportioned.

I use this fair cup mainly for green teas. A beautiful and calming sight to see nature's green encapsulated in this beautiful white vessel. The smooth porcelain surface feels great in the hand and creates a clean pour. The size is beautifully proportioned.
