Falangcai 珐琅彩 was the name given to colorful enamel overglaze painted porcelain produced for Emperor Kangxi during the Qing Dynasty. The production began in 1696 and was influenced by the introduction of enamel painting from the West. Falangcai porcelain requires skill and time to make, and was originally produced exclusively for the royal family.
