This tea was certified free of chemical pollutants by the Quality Testing Centre of the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science 农业部茶叶质量监督测试中心。
This tea was harvested from trees over 100 years old growing in Daxueshan, Mengku in spring of 2005. The tea was pressed by Rongshi Tea Factory in 2005 and has been kept in natural storage in Taiwan.
Big Snowy Mountain (Daxueshan 大雪山) is one of the most famous tea regions of Yunnan, with gardens of ancient trees over 100 years old. The region is also one of the highest tea growing regions, with altitudes over 3000m.
This tea is quite pungent, with some noticeable bitterness, but it remains well-balanced. The tea has aged but still packs a punch.
