Season: 2002
Origin: 8668 Recipe Blend, Pressed in Kunming Tea Factory, Yunnan.
Storage: Taiwan
This tea was made using the 8668 recipe , a blend of material from different regions in Yunnan, and very tightly pressed using an iron mold. The resulting iron cake is denser than other puerh cakes, and has aged more slowly. Despite being 22 years old, the cake has the strength and vitality of a much younger sheng. The tea liquor is orange-red. The aroma is pungent, with a hint of smoke. The tea itself is rich, with a balanced bitterness, a nice huigan, and is good for many, many brews.
