These cups are fully handmade and fired in a wood kiln by the artist Zhang Yuncheng.
These wood fired cups have a brilliant shine with rich warm colours. The colour comes from the natural wood ash glaze that forms on the surface of the clay while it is being fired in the wood kiln. This wood ash glaze is known as 金银釉 Gold Silver Glaze.
