100K DaYuLing High Mountain Oolong Tea, Winter 2021

This tea was grown in the famous 100K DaYuLing 大禹岭 Tea Garden at 2500m. The DaYuLing Tea Gardens are named after their location in kilometers along Highway 8. 100K is one of the few surviving DaYuLing tea gardens. The land at 100K garden had been leased to the farm by the government of Taiwan. The government will reclaim this land and close the garden in the next few years, reforesting the area and returning it to its natural state.
The amount of tea picked every year in the DaYuLing tea growing area is quite limited. The 100K garden produces only 100-150kg of material each spring, and half of this amount for the winter harvest. This combined with its very high altitude and prized status makes it very special. This tea will only be harvested for a few more years before the garden is closed for good. This tea is a smooth, clean oolong with a wonderfully fresh aroma, sweetness, and a thick mouthfeel and long finish. This tea is the winter harvest and was hand-picked in October 2021.

BREWING METHODS
Kung Fu Brewing

Warm the teapot or gaiwan by adding hot water and then pouring it out.
Add around 5g of tea for every 150ml of water. Begin by adding the loose tea to the teapot or gaiwan.
We recommend using water between 95-99C.
Tea can be rinsed quickly with hot water. This first rinse helps to open up the tea for its first brew. This first rinse is optional.
The tea can be steeped multiple times (at least 6 times). We recommend the following steep times per brew, but we also recommend extending or shortening the brewing time depending on preference for a stronger or weaker brew.

1st :50s　→　2nd: 45s　→　3rd：50s　→　4th：50s　→　5th：60s
