This teacup was handmade of fine porcelain and features a hand painted qinghua scene by the artist KuangShi, a master of qinghua porcelain painting in Jingdezhen.
This kind of porcelain is known as fanggu porcelain because it aims to revive an ancient style of porcelain. Fanggu technique is more costly and difficult to execute properly than modern styles of porcelain.
