This porcelain teacup was handmade and hand painted using the fencai technique and materials by the studio 据微堂 JuWei Tang. JuWei Tang is famous for the quality of its pieces, especially their beautifully delicate porcelain paintings.
This kind of porcelain is known as fanggu porcelain because it aims to revive an ancient style of porcelain. Fanggu technique is more costly and difficult to execute properly than modern styles of porcelain.
