This white tea is shoumei grade, made from upper leaves . It has a heavier and darker profile and color than Baimudan and Gongmei grades of white tea. This tea has already been aged 10 years and is beginning to show its age.
It has a mellow and earthy flavour and aroma with hints of herb and menthol. The tea is smooth and comforting with some sweetness. Shoumei is a very versatile tea that can be brewed many ways and still be very pleasant; it can brewed gongfu style, western style or boiled.
