This tea was picked in the spring of 2018 in Bang Dong Village 邦东寨 in Mengku County. The village is situated at around 1600m above sea level. The trees in this garden are known as "Big Tree" Dashu 大树 for their size and maturity at between 75-100 years old.
This tea has a nice clean aroma, strong cha qi, and a pleasant slight bitterness that combined with its vegetal and mineral flavours is quite refreshing. This is one of our daily-drinkers.
Each cake is only 100g and quite thin and was loosely pressed by stone, making it easy to pull apart even when young. It's thin and loose pressing will also help it to age faster than thicker, more tightly-compressed cakes. Each package contains two 100g cakes, each box contains 2 wrapped packages (4 cakes total). Only customers purchasing 200g or 400g will receive the cakes in the original wrapping. For 100g purchases, a single cake will be removed from the wrapping and sent carefully packaged in a new envelope.
