Tianbai 甜白 translated as Sweet White, is a rich white porcelain glaze created during the Ming Dynasty YongLe Period (AD1403 – 1424).

This tea cup is handmade of fine white porcelain with tianbai glaze by our studio partner QingKe Xuan 清可轩 in Jingdezhen China. The porcelain is fine with good translucence and the jade-like quality that is typical of Tianbai Jingdezhen Porcelain.

These cups are perfect for fragrant oolongs.

These cups are perfect for fragrant oolongs. The size is great if you brew the tea more aggressively (which I like to do), so that it's not too overpowering. The shape of the cup brings the aromas to your nose. The 75ml larger size of this cup is better suited towards green teas and black teas which I prefer to drink more greater quantities from the same cup.
