Jiao Huang You 娇黄釉 yellow glaze, also known as "ji huang you" 鸡黄油 or "yellow chicken oil" is seen as the finest example of yellow glaze in Jingdezhen porcelain. This glaze was especially popular with the royal family during the Ming Dynasty, where it was used for Imperial porcelain. This color glaze was restricted to Imperial use at the time.
