The qinghua (blue) painting was done by the artist KuangShi 匡石, a master of qinghua porcelain painting in Jingdezhen.
This kind of porcelain is known as fanggu porcelain because it aims to revive an ancient style of porcelain. Fanggu technique is more costly and difficult to execute properly than modern styles of porcelain.
