This teacup was handmade and features a hand painted scene in qinghua (cobalt blue) underglaze paint. This kind of porcelain is known as fanggu porcelain because it aims to revive and reproduce an ancient style of porcelain. Fanggu technique is more costly and difficult to execute properly than modern styles of porcelain.
