This teapot was handmade in Shan Kiln studio, Jingdezhen. Lee Shanmin, the owner of Shan Kiln studio, has devoted himself to ru kiln products for over 15 years. His signature is on the bottom of the pot, it says "Shan" 善. "Shan" is the middle character of the artist's name, it means kindness.
This ancient pottery technique known as Ru Kiln (Ruyao) originated during the Song dynasty. It is one of the finest quality traditional Chinese crafts on the market.
